AN INSTITUTION SINCE 1961
Since 1961, Restaurant La Promenade perpetuate his denomination as “spécialiste des spécialités valaisannes”. Build by Melchior, better-known as Micky, and his wife Lucette, the restaurant quickly become the place to be for the locals, who rename it “Chez Micky”.
Renovated in 1980, the restaurant sees his menu getting bigger, and his area almost double. In May 1991, the company is taking over by Micky’s son Christian and his wife Florence.
The restaurant stays true to the tradition and to the recipes of the Valais cuisine, which is available all year long, and made with fresh local ingredients.
Our cheeses come from the mountain pastures of Odonne and Loutze. Our AOC rye bread is prepared by the bakery Crettenand in Leytron and our dry meat, when the stock is not missing, is delivered by a private producer from the Val d’Anniviers.
A CHOICE OF DELICIOUS DISHES AND WINE
A large choice of more refined dishes, included our well-known homemade “cordons bleus”, complete our menu which changes every season. During autumn, you can enjoy « La Chasse », served with homemade side dishes, and during Winter, « La Pierrade », with 6 different types of meat, fries, and 6 different types of sauces.
Our restaurant also put the local winemakers under the spotlight, who are numerous and all very qualified.
OUR PANORAMIC TERRACE
Our panoramic terrace, benefitting of the legendary Wallis Sunshine, and offering a breathtaking scenery on the small villages of Isérables and La Tsoumaz, can welcome 50 guests.
The terrace is facing the south side of the Walliser Alpes, with its beautiful snowy mountains: Le Mont-Fort, la Pierre-Avoi, le Mont Vélan, le Grand-Combin, la Dent-Blanche, le Weisshorn
All year long, a webcam situated on our terrace inform you of the weather in Ovronnaz and, during Winter Season, allows you to know at any time the height of the snow cover.
